Lotus Evora GTE Road Car Concept
Lotus has taken away the Exige from its American customers with the Exige Matte Black Final Edition heralding the end, but is planning on giving back something a bit meatier at Pebble Beach trhis month in the shape of the Lotus Evora GTE Road Car Concept. All we’ve got so far is one (less than wonderful) image of the Evora GTE Road Car and a bit of detail. That bit of detail tells us that the Evora GTE Road Car is based on / inspired by the Lotus Evora GTE, which recently ran the Le Mans 24 Hours, and gets a tuned version of the regular Toyota V6 to deliver 420bhp .

Renault put in the strong showing you'd expect from France's biggest car maker on its home turf, with six new cars or concepts led by two versions of the new Megane. There's also the production versions of the Laguna Coupe and the shortened, three-door Kangoo Be Bop, and two new concepts in the Ondelios grand tourer and the Z.E. electric car.
THE insurance industry’s research centre, Thatcham Research, has said that thousands of lives could be saved if there were Government incentives for drivers buying cars with anti-crash technology. According to the organisation, initial UK market data shows cars equipped with autonomous emergency braking (AEB) have 18% fewer third-party injury claims. Thatcham's chief executive Peter Shaw has called for support for his company's Stop the Crash campaign, which plans to ask the Treasury to introduce and fund a £500 incentive for those choosing to buy new cars with AEB fitted.
